I go to the Plymouth Meeting Mall location occasioinally only because a sports league I recently joined had chose it as their go-to place after games because of the convenient location. The service is always slow, food orders often get mixed up or forgotten entirely and even if you get what you ordered in a timely manner there's no consistency in the quality or flavor. One night a chicken salad may be served with cold chicken from the fridge on a premade salad, and the next time the same salad will be served with warm chicken and placed on a freshly made salad. The atmosphere seems to be an attempt to cater to all genres. There are pool tables as well as TVs throughout showing several sporting events live and recorded appropriate for a sports bar, hip-hop music playing so loud you can barely hear the person next to you speaking like a dance club, and a few "cozy" candle light tables as though anyone would go there for a date or romantic dinner. The prices are extremely high for the questionable quality and overall atmosphere of the restaurant. $7 draughts, $11 for 8 wings and $10-$12 "gourmet" burgers (sorry, but a burger is a burger no matter how many adjectives you put in front of it on the menu). You'll find it difficult to leave without spending at least $30 per person for a late night appetizer and a couple cold brews.

We had to tell our waitress 3 times what our orders were and to refill our drinks every time. Waitress came back like 4 times to give us our correct checks and double charged us. Not impressed at all.

Only came here for games after dinner somewhere else. Honestly, the games are expensive, when you figure out how many credits needed per swipe. Also, the games don't last very long - maybe 30-60 seconds per try for the new ones - candy Crush, Yatzee, Temple Run, COnnect Four, pong, etc. It's okay if you want to drop $25 bucks and have it last only 30 minutes or so. And you need a boat-load of tickets to get someone even remotely useful...

So, my boyfriend and I decided to stop in just to grab some appetizers before we hit up a movie. We went to the bar and asked if we could trade in our tickets for their food offer. The bartender told us to go to the ticket cash in area. We did and waited about five minutes before we even got acknowledged. After we got the vouchers, we went and sat at the bar. No bar tender was there so we waited. I don't know if it was because we were a gay couple or they just didn't feel the need to serve us but no employee ever approached us. We made eye contact with several different employees and even waved but they didn't even say hi to us. After about 15 minutes sitting at the bar with nobody even coming near us, we decided to leave. This is the worst Dave and Busters in the area. Go to the one on Columbus if you really want a better experience.

This place was so much fun. The beer, the games, the company - I had an amazing time. When we first walked in, we were greeted by the sweetest lady, she explained the coins/cash grid and recommended options based on our needs. We ended up playing and drinking for hours, it was fantastic. The only things I didn't like were the limited beer choices and the minimal prizes. I always thought candy was the cheap throwaway choice when you don't have enough tickets for anything else, but theirs was expensive! Who knew?!? Other than that though the place was great. Definitely going back soon!

My friend and her co-workers had a get together at last night. There were about 10 ladies. The service was alittle slow, however, the manager was very apologtic and made up for the slow service. He even gave the birthday girl a piece of cake. I would go again.

DO NOT eat here. My friends and I were just there a few hours ago and the food made us sick. My one friend got sick in the bathroom halfway through her meal and I had to go home afterwards with a bad stomach ache.

So I went to d&b for the first time last night for my 25th birthday with my boyfriend and a bunch of my friends. We had a good time, but only because we were all together and took advantage of the arcade until they closed. To start off, I called at 10am to make reservations, because we had a baby and we had a pretty large group, so the less time we had to wait the better. When I called and asked to make a reservation, the lady first put me on hold, then came back and asked how many.. when I told her 10-15, she laughed at me and said I didn't need to make a reservation for THAT many people. Ok..? Fine. So we get there around 8, and they tell us it's going to be a 25-35 minute wait because we had such a large party... that would have been the point of me trying to make a reservation! UGH. When I mentioned to the host about my irritation because of that (also did let her know that I knew it wasnt her fault and was by no means trying to be rude to her), she then informed me that they don't even take reservations. SO WHICH IS IT? If that's the case, I'm not sure why the lady on the phone didn't just say THAT when I told her why I was calling.. and if they do, which I'm pretty sure that they do, why did the host tell us they didn't?? I'm so confused....... After she told us about the wait, she just turned out around and walked away. No names, no pagers, no apologies, nothing. Just walked away. So we stood there for a few minutes and when she came back I finally asked her if she wanted our name and she told us No, that she would just remember. We all kinda looked at her like, are you serious right now.. I told her we we going to go downstairs and try to keep the baby occupied while we were waiting and asked how she wanted us to know when our table was ready, so she then grabbed a pager and asked what my name was. Now was that so hard? Except then when she handed us the pager, asked the guy next to her if HE knew how to use "those things, because she didn't"... he said nope. So we decided it would be better to just stay close, you know, incase she didn't remember us. So an hour and 15 minutes later we finally get a table (NOT 25-35 minutes). Our server was really nice, patient, and attentive, until the end of the meal. When she greeted our table she informed us that she was really tired and it had been a long night, which, we thought was kind of unprofessional- we don't really care, after all- but understood and weren't going to hold it against her.... until she told us about 3 or 4 more times through the meal. My friend asked if they did anything for birthday's (not knowing that I overheard ha..), and she told her that they only did if we ordered dessert. Then she never offered us dessert. She brought our checks before we even had a chance to look. We asked her if we were supposed to buy our game cards from her, and she told us that we could, but she was really exhausted so we could just buy them from the front. ARE YOU SERIOUS? I laughed and told her ok, that was fine... We were trying to help her out by adding more to our bill to add to her gratuity that we were leaving (which we were NOT informed was automatically added to our bills), and trying to help ourselves out by only having to pay ONCE. But ok, she was too tired.. we got it. She then got offended when we asked someone else to take a group picture for us, came back to our table and said "you know, you could have just asked me.. I would have taken it. You didn't have to bother other people." Good thing we already paid because at that point, I would have told her to take off the gratuity she added without letting us know, we would have paid for our bill (which was very high) and that would have been IT. Each one of us have or currently do work in the restaurant business, and that is not how you deal with tables. Not if you're trying to make money, anyway. The food was good and we had fun otherwise, but wow.... the people that work there are rude and unprofessional.. not to mention i got the feeling it was EVERYBODY'S first day.

I went here during the day (a Thursday) with two girls ages 5 and 6. It was relatively empty or at least enough space to go from game to game. Games are the usual expensive, most of them being 6 credits or higher. I like the new digital ticket thing they have now instead of trying to squash paper tickets in a paper container. We really like the game where it's like a simulated rollercoaster ride (forgot the name)! Another game we liked was the motorcycle one towards the back. Kind of irritated that we wasted 9 credits on one game when one of the girls' motorcycle wasn't moving. Her game was frozen but was ok for the next go-round. After spending $40 on game credits, we did not eat lunch here. Before heading to lunch in the mall, we visited the gift shop to redeem our tickets. The girl back there was so disinterested in being there and barely spoke above a whisper. Not to mention, the gift items were even expensive! To get a decent one, we would have to gain 1,000+ tickets. We had under that and opted for the candy and small items like a bracelet and kazoo. For kids, this is a more ideal D&Bs to go to than the one on Columbus. I would say this only because if money runs tight, there's an option to go in the Plymouth Meeting Mall and send the kiddos to the play area. Plus, the Columbus one is more "adult appropriate" in my opinion.

Let me start by saying that you don't go to Dave & Busters for the food. It's thoroughly average. The menu items are burgers, chicken tenders and such. The food comes out edible but entirely unremarkable. Like the food, the service from the wait staff is adequate but not exactly good. If you go for the meal, itself, the experience will be disappointing. You do, however, go to Dave & Busters for the games. They have a pretty decent variety of games. Whether you want trivia games, air hockey, ski ball, basketball shooting games, racing games, classics like Whack-a-Mole, or shooters like Time Crisis, they're there. They also have a bar area on the gaming floor, where you can get large beers for reasonable prices and where they can mix standard cocktails competently. The bar also has plenty of TVs for those who might want to use the place as a sports bar. If the Plymouth Meeting D&B sets itself apart in an area besides simply being a bar/restaurant with arcade games, it's the staff in the store and on the gaming floor. There aren't many people there, so it can take a minute to find one and get their attention, but I've been surprised at how nice and helpful they can be. Dave & Busters is basically Chuck-E-Cheese for those too old to go to Chuck-E-Cheese (not that it's unfriendly to kids). If that concept appeals to you, this place delivers it. It's not particularly good as a restaurant, and the Plymouth Meeting location lacks the character of the one on Delaware Ave in the city, but it serves its role well enough.

I had a play date here with a close friend. It was Easter weeekend and I decided to go early on Saturday to beat the holiday crowd. The kids had fun and the food was great. I will be going back soon.
